Santa Barbara has the rare opportunity to vote for one of the judges in the Superior Court of Santa Barbara County. In the U.S., about 87% of state appellate and trial court judges face voters. Voting for judges is not just a procedural step; it is a vital part of ensuring that the judicial system operates fairly and effectively. By participating in judicial elections, voters can influence the legal landscape and advocate for a justice system that aligns with our community's values and needs. The election will be between challenger, Local Attorney Luis Esparza and presiding Judge Thomas Adams who’s been there for nearly 50 years and we’re honored to have as our guest.
