ENGAGE - Santa Barbara's Offshore Oil Threat

Santa Barbara is ground zero in the fight against offshore drilling. On Sunday, September 14, join us at the Marjorie Luke Theatre for the first West Coast screening of The Cost of Silence, a Sundance 2020 Grand Jury Prize–nominated documentary exposing how government and industry concealed the toxic aftermath of the BP spill. The film reveals a playbook that threatens every coastal community, including right here in Santa Barbara.

After the film, stay for a powerful community forum with coastal defenders, Oscar-winning filmmakers, and leaders in media as they spotlight what’s at stake for Santa Barbara and introduce a new platform designed to help you take action and stay involved.
